SkillBridgE

You’ve invested yourself in serving your country.

Now it’s time to invest in a successful career.

If it’s time to move on to your new life as a respected veteran in your community, the SkillBridge program is here to ensure your transition is seamless and your success is in your hands.

Created by the Department of Defense, the SkillBridge program is designed to give active service military members an opportunity to transition into their post military careers through internships with companies across the country.

At FedVet Construction, we believe in empowering veterans to be successful after their service time has ended. We’re a proud partner in the SkillBridge program, and many of our team members have joined us through their SkillBridge internship.

During your internship, you’ll spend up to 180 days learning how we make a difference for clients as a self-performing general contractor. You’ll see how we go above and beyond fulfilling our government contracts and we’ll teach you how to continue the industry standard service we provide.

For potential government clients, we’re adding exceptional value with team members who understand the unique needs of working with government projects.

It’s just another way we’re meeting your vision with our expertise.

Ready to see how SkillBridge can make a difference for you?
The process is simple for active military members.

First, request permission to enter the SkillBridge program through your chain of command. Your command may have unique procedures or requirements, so be sure to follow directions from your unit commander. Each command typically has a command career counselor who you can go to for assistance and application.

Whether you’re enlisted or officer, any rank may apply to be part of the SkillBridge program. There are several industry partners providing internship opportunities in a wide range of fields, including energy, information technology, manufacturing, retail, transportation, and civil service. Once you begin your 180-day internship, you will continue to receive your military compensation and benefits.

And that’s it. Soon enough, you’ll be learning valuable on-the-job training from industry leaders like FedVet. We can’t wait to bring you on board.
